Case Aide

Description

Responsibilities
  • Developing and maintaining organizational systems and processes
  • Providing administrative and operational support to the department
  • Supporting department programming, client communication, and partner outreach
  • Managing, organizing, and consolidating data and departmental records
  • Assisting with event planning, coordination, and on-site support
  • Providing administrative and personal assistance to ISNA Cares Manager, including scheduling, correspondence, coordination, follow-ups, and other day-to-day tasks
  • Supporting staff with various administrative tasks and special projects
  • Coordinating meetings, calendars, documents, and other logistical needs as required
  • Assisting with research, reporting, documentation, and preparation of materials
  • Following up on outstanding tasks and supporting internal communication and coordination
  • Other duties and responsibilities as required by the department and organization

  • Experience or demonstrated ability in program planning, development, implementation, and evaluation
  • Ability to support community programs from initial planning through execution, including logistics, participant communication, outreach, and follow-up
  • Strong community outreach and engagement skills, with the ability to build relationships with members, community partners, schools, organizations, and service providers
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, staff, volunteers, partners, and community members
  • Familiarity with clinical and client-service environments, including client intake, scheduling, documentation, referrals, follow-up, and maintaining appropriate confidentiality and professional boundaries
  • Understanding of basic clinical and mental health service workflows and the ability to support clinicians and clients in an organized and professional manner
  • Ability to handle sensitive client information with discretion and follow organizational privacy and confidentiality policies
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google Workspace/G Suite, Calendly, and Jane; experience with other client management, scheduling, or clinical software is an asset
  • Comfortable learning and adapting to new software applications and organizational systems as needed
  • Strong time-management skills with the ability to prioritize competing demands and meet deadlines
  • Ability to respond to members' and clients' requests with patience, professionalism, and enthusiasm; understand their needs and escalate issues when appropriate
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also contributing effectively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Strong conflict-management, problem-solving, and de-escalation skills
  • Proven ability to adapt to a constantly changing environment, respond calmly to unexpected situations, and exercise sound judgment
  • Demonstrated emotional maturity, professionalism, and discretion when working with clients, staff, and community members
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative, identify gaps, and develop practical solutions without requiring constant direction
  • Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and follow through on tasks, commitments, and program deliverables
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and connect effectively with people from diverse cultural, ethnic, socioeconomic, and professional backgrounds
  • Strong understanding of and commitment to community service, mental health, social services, and faith-based programming
  • Ability to represent ISNA Canada professionally and positively when engaging with community members, external organizations, and partners
  • Previous experience in social services, mental health, counselling, community programming, healthcare, nonprofit organizations, or a related field is an asset

Required Qualifications
  • Canadian Citizen, permanent resident, or person on whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act, for the duration of the employment 
  • Have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations.

Compensation

$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
