Fundraising Intern
Description
Primary Duties:
Donor Engagement:
- Assist in facilitating donor engagement activities and events.
- Contribute to the planning and execution of fundraising initiatives.
Communication:
- Communicate with donors through various channels, including email, phone calls, and written correspondence.
- Provide timely and accurate information to donors regarding the organization's mission, programs, and impact.
Data Entry and Management:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date donor records in the database.
- Ensure the confidentiality and security of donor information.
- Support Fundraising Campaigns:
Assist in coordinating and implementing fundraising campaigns.
- Collaborate with the fundraising team to develop creative strategies to engage donors.
Event Support:
- Assist in organizing and executing donor events, including logistics, setup, and coordination.
- Provide on-site support during fundraising events.
Customer Service:
- Respond to donor inquiries and provide excellent customer service.
- Address donor concerns or issues in a timely and professional manner.
Required Qualifications:
- Applicants must be between the ages of 15 to 30 years (inclusive).
- Canadian Citizen, permanent resident, or person on whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act, for the duration of the employment.
- Legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations.
- Have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations.
Required Skills:
- Excellent planning and organizational skills.
- Strong time management abilities, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven.
- Ability to communicate effectively with donors and team members.
- Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
- Team player with the flexibility to work collaboratively or independently as needed.
- A relevant degree or diploma in a related field is an asset.
- Previous experience in donor care, fundraising, or a related field is considered advantageous.
