Ramadan Children’s Program Lead (Seasonal)

Location: ISNA Canada - ICC (2200 South Sheridan Way, Mississauga, ON L5J 2M4)
Term: February, 18 - March 18, 2026 (Ramadan)
Type: Part-Time, Seasonal
Job Purpose: To oversee and manage the children’s program during Taraweeh, ensuring a safe, engaging, and well-organized environment for participating children while supporting the overall goals of the Ramadan Children’s program.
Responsibilities:
- Support the smooth delivery of the Ramadan Children’s Program during Taraweeh, alongside designated volunteers
- Delegate tasks to general volunteers as needed to ensure proper coverage and program flow
- Plan and facilitate age-appropriate games, crafts, and educational activities aligned with Islamic values and teachings
- Maintain a safe, secure, and respectful environment by actively supervising children at all times and following safety protocols
- Manage child check-in and check-out procedures to ensure accurate attendance and authorized pick-up
- Implement and follow program schedules, including activities, snack/meal times (if applicable), and rest periods
- Communicate clearly with parents/guardians regarding program expectations, schedules, and updates as needed
- Provide feedback to parents/guardians when appropriate regarding participation and behaviour
- Maintain a clean and organized space by sanitizing equipment and tidying play areas throughout the evening
Qualifications:
- Experience working with children is a strong asset.
- First Aid and CPR certification is a strong asset.
- Designation in Early Childhood Education is a strong asset, but not required.
- Patience, enthusiasm, and strong communication skills.
Requirements:
- Must be available to work in-person at ISNA Canada - ICC in Mississauga, ON
- Must have weekday and weekend availability between the hours of 7:30 PM - 12:00 AM
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada and meet all necessary employment requirements.
- Must obtain a valid Vulnerable Sector Screening or equivalent background check, as necessary for working with children in an educational setting in the province of Ontario.
