Camp Manager
Description
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Programs Coordinator in planning and preparation for Summer Camps, which may include purchasing resources, preparing materials, and decorating the space.
- Ensures the execution of Summer Day Camps, which includes setting up before and cleaning up after each day
- Provide leadership to volunteers, counsellors and campers
- Ensure the safety and care of all campers while at ICC and on camps field trips
- Lead games, crafts, and other activities for large and small groups of campers
- Takes on responsibility for the entire camp ensuring the satisfaction from parents, campers, camp staff and volunteers
- Will need to complete admin and logistical duties in order for the succession of camp
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills:
- Applicants must be between the ages of 15 to 30 years (inclusive)
- Canadian Citizen, permanent resident, or person on whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act, for the duration of the employment
- Legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations
- Have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations.
- Understanding of Islamic etiquette
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Time management skills and deadline-oriented
- Ability to respond to members’ requests with patience and enthusiasm; understand the needs of members and escalate issues when appropriate
- Work with little supervision or assistance, work within a team and independently
- Strong conflict management skills
